The booth and furniture design were created to provide a sense of curiosity and exploration into the jewelry, objects and materials. The MONIQUE PÉAN, VAAS fine jewelry collection features specimens of meteorites and pyritized dinosaur bone suspended in vessels of platinum and 18k gold. Looking to expand on the display for the MONIQUE PÉAN Tarai exhibition while also encapsulating functional objects, a sustainably sourced live-edge black walnut structured bench was designed as a bespoke limited addition. Wall mounted are three black walnut structured display boxes with custom mirrored interiors featuring unique raw fossil specimens before they are crafted into jewelry. The wall is framed with a bright perimeter light to focus attention in, while the stark black of the booth provides a sense of mystery and curiosity, subtly mirroring the lighting within the custom black sand display table featuring fine jewelry.
